Past Events

From September 2010, in collaboration with Civic Exchange’s Green It Green (GIG) Competition, greenerworks founder Sophie Tang has visited local, international schools and universities in Hong Kong to talk about the Preservation of Antarctica, climate change and how to produce simple creative ideas for more sustainable lifestyle choices in Hong Kong.

The GIG competition winners were all announced and presented with the awards at the GIG Youth Summit on 7 November. Sophie had a wonderful experience being the emcee for the live event and the competition judge among others. Thank you for everyone's support over the last few months, it has been quite a journey. greenerworks would like to thank Civic Exchange for assisting in the school talk arrangements and all their hard work to get everyone to live green. It has truly been a huge experience.

Background of C40 Climate Dialogue

Initiated by former President Clinton and the former Mayor of London Ken Livingstone, C-40 consists of large cities committed to tackling climate change. The November 2010 event in Hong Kong brought cities together to discuss challenges and opportunities of creating modern, low carbon, high quality and liveable metropolitan centres, by increasing energy efficiency.

As part of the C40 Climate Dialogue, greenerworks Founder Sophie Tang joined the panel alongside other explorers and professionals from the environmental sector for a discussion titled 'Changing Mindset and Behaviour' on 4 November.

Sophie was the moderator for this session and would like to extend her gratitude to the teachers who took time off their weekend to attend the session with their students.
