In the spirit of increasing social media, this network is also a platform to view a digest of current news, world events, job postings, useful links, scientific and environmental-related topics to highlight to a student audience. We get these news from our own subscriptions, friends, other students and teachers etc. As we grow, we hope to showcase effective and inspiring community projects from around the world, particularly in Asia where most of the population lives.
While achieving educational and cultural exchange from all walks of life, greenerworks also tries to raise fund for charities that we support. The beneficiaries are organisations that are doing commendable work towards their social commitment to youth and underprivileged children who are simultaneously struggling for adequate funds. greenerworks’ supporters and volunteers devote their skills and time to organise and take part in educational activities, events and raise fund for our charities which we make time to personally meet and know how they run their daily operations. The people behind these charities become our friends and have inspiring stories, see 'Travel Blog'. greenerworks' volunteers also devote time liaising with corporations to seek financial help from time to time to sustain educational campaigns, community projects, events and for worthy charitable organisations or causes.
